Lorraine Mae Henry, 79, of Mt. Zion, IL entered the presence of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ at 9:00 A.M. Monday, May 31, 2010 at St. Mary’s Hospital.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, June 5, 2010, at Dawson & Wikoff Funeral Home, Mt. Zion, Illinois. Visitation will Friday evening, June 4th from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Burial will be at the Mt. Zion Cemetery. Lorraine was born in Decatur, IL on May 12, 1931,the daughter of Roy and Mabel (Hall) Weldy. She was a homemaker who loved her family, loved to work and encouraged everyone that she met. She was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Decatur. Lorraine married Bart Henry on August 12, 1950 in Decatur.
Lorraine is survived by: her husband Bart of rural Mt. Zion; son Steve and daughter-in-law Robin of Brownsville, Texas and daughter-in-law Barb of Austin, Texas; sisters: LaVerne White and Jean Woodrum and her husband Charles of Decatur, and June Leach of Mt. Zion; brother: Paul Weldy and his wife Diane of Decatur; eight grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her son Ron, her parents, her brother Raymond Weldy and her sister Pam Weldy.
The family wishes to thank the nurses and staff of the fourth floor at St. Mary’s Hospital for their kindness and help.

I just saw this while checking Don Caudle's page. Our hearts go out to you all. Even if the result is expected, there is never really a time that we want to let go completely. Lorraine is one of the many faces we expected to see when the old EP bunch gathered anywhere. She left a great legacy and will be missed.

My deepest sympathy.I have nothing but good memories of the Bart Henry Family.Also, I have always admired & respected your family. I remember watching the very first Super Bowl at your house, a memory I will never forget. The love & frustration of Gleaner combines we shared over the years.
